March-April 2018 - Group show at Le HangArt Saint-Denis Gallery, Montreal, QC, Canada

A couple of my black granite sculptures were on display at the Le HangArt Saint-Denis gallery in Montreal. These were Black Sail I (2017) and Black Sail II (2017), both carved out of a very hard fine grain black granite from New Hampshire. This stone is actually so hard that it rings like steel when hit with the chisel. Sculpting this stone requires both patience and skills, as it is also brittle and may split!

December 2018 - An Evening Of Art in Montreal, QC, Canada

This “Evening Of Art” cocktail party we organized in our friend Valerie’s loft was a great success! We celebrated several art forms. My wife Beatrice Dauge Kaufmann, an abstract painter, showed beautifully colored work in oil on canvas. Several singers of Martina Oslejskova’s Broadway Academy in Montreal, including our daughter Maëline, delighted our ears with pop and broadway songs. I showed twelve of my sculptures in marble, alabaster and granite. Joel Braco, a young and talented student of “Ecole Hôtelière” pleased the guests with excellent hors d'oeuvres and deserts, along with red and white wine.
